Fly veils and ear bonnets
A fly veil, also called an ear net or ear bonnet, covers the ears to keep flies out while you ride. It goes on under the bridle.
| Size | Usually fits |
|---|---|
| Pony | Ponies and small heads |
| Cob | Cobs, Arabians and finer heads |
| Full | Most horses |
Putting it on
- Slip the ears into the ear covers.
- Lay the cap flat over the poll, then put the bridle on over it.
- Tuck or tie the cords so they sit neatly at the throatlatch.
Sizes vary by brand. Check your show rules for ear bonnets; some noise-reducing styles note FEI approval.
