How to measure for show coats and jackets
- Chest (1): measure around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms, wearing the shirt you ride in.
- Waist (2): measure around your natural waist, the narrowest part of your torso.
- Sleeve (3): with your arm slightly bent, measure from the shoulder seam to your wrist bone. In the saddle your arms come forward, so show coat sleeves should reach the wrist bone when your elbows are bent.
- Fit in the saddle: a show coat should button without pulling across the chest and let you reach forward to the reins. Show shirts should be snug at the collar without pinching.
- European sizing: many show apparel brands use European sizes (like 34, 36, 38) and run small. If you are between sizes, choose the larger size and check the brand's chart on the product page.

I wasn’t sure about this whole mesh trend but am pleasantly surprised. This coat looks really tailored on, not frumpy, and you absolutely cannot see through it. Showed in it on a warm weekend in Texas and didn’t drop a single sweat. This is going to be a game changer when it gets really hot. Wishing I got one sooner.
